The Wall Street Journal newspaper has won the Pulitzer Prize twenty-nine times, including the 2003 and 2004 Pulitzer Prize for explanatory journalism.

The newspaper company was founded by reporters Charles Dow, Edward Jones and Charles Bergstresser in the year of 1882. The small Customer's Afternoon Letter has converted into The Wall Street Journal by Jones, which was published at first in 1889.

The Journal features several distinct sections:

1) Section One - It provides features such as corporate news, as well as political and economic reporting.

The Wall Street Journal won its first two Pulitzer Prizes for its editorial writing in 1947 and 1953. The Wall street Journal's editorial and news page staffs are completely independent from each other. The editorial page has two famous articles that have appeared there since 1961. The first is entitled "The Desolate Wilderness" and describes what pilgrims saw when they arrived in America. The second is entitled "And the Fair Land" and describes in romantic terms the "bounty" of America. It was penned by a former editor Vermont Royster, whose Christmas article "In Hoc Anno Domini," has appeared every December 25 since 1949.

The Wall Street Journal is probably the best paper out there. It's financial news is unparalleled, with some of the best and most insisting news writing that New York city has ever come across. There is no question about getting a Wall Street Journal subscription. The paper goes beyond financial news and covers all varieties of subjects from world events to movie reviews. Overall, the Wall Street Journal is a notch above all other papers in regards to their intelligent reporting and perspective on financial, economic, and otherwise events.

The Wall Street Journal is a great paper, specially for financial news. This doesn't means that it will not provide any other information. One can see that there's a hell of a lot more going on in the world than just money. Wall Street Journal subscription would be fantastic for someone studying economics.
